For example, in the United States, copyright law states that an original work of authorship fixed in a tangible medium of expression qualifies for copyright protection. This means that if an NFT meets these criteria, it could potentially be copyrighted. However, it's important to note that simply because something can be copyrighted doesn't mean that it will be automatically protected by copyright law. For an NFT to be protected by copyright law, the creator would need to register the work with the US Copyright Office.
