Samsung Enters Metaverse by Opening a Virtual Version of Its Flagship Store

Tech giant Samsung has entered the list of major brands entering the metaverse space by opening its first virtual store in Decentraland.

Dubbed as Samsung 837X, the store is modeled after the company’s flagship physical store that is located on 837 Washington Street in the Meatpacking district of New York City.

In an announcement, the company said, “Samsung’s new metaverse experience brings its spirit as an experiential playground for people to discover the amazing possibilities when technology and culture collide.”

Additionally, the company said that fans visiting the metaverse store will get to experience NFT badges in a digital adventure through the Connectivity Theater. There will also be a musical component through a musical celebration at the “Customization Stage.”

The Connectivity Theater will show Samsung news from the CES stage and will allow fans to learn more about the company’s growing tech, while the sustainability forest will help the guest  “embark on a journey through millions of trees—and even have a mythic encounter.”

Besides this, Samsung also recently formed a partnership with Veritree, a blockchain-based solutions platform to plant 2 million mangrove trees in Madagascar to counter the increasing climate change crisis.
