PGA TOUR’s Chief Legal Officer, Len Brown, claims, “The PGA TOUR is excited to work with Autograph to offer digital collectibles that highlight the most talented golfers in the world and their role in the sport’s history.”

PGA TOUR, the organizer of professional golf tours, announced its plans to release a platform in collaboration with Autograph to allow fans to archive their favorite golf moments as NFTs. This adds PGA TOUR to the list of premier sporting leagues that have embraced NFTs and Web3 space.

NFTs Featuring Professional Golfers

The platform, set to launch in early 2023, will present videos, stills, and player data from PGA Tour’s archives as NFTs.

PGA TOUR states the NFTs will depict the “best TOUR golfers” and their favorite moments from the past championships as well as the current season. The revenue generated from the NFT sales will be sent to the players, allowing golf fans to support their favorite players.

NFT holders will receive rewards in the form of access to special utilities, including exclusive in-person and digital experiences.

Tiger Woods notes,

“I’m very excited to be a part of this next chapter with Autograph and the PGA TOUR. Enhancing the golf world with NFTs will create a connection between us as players and the fans.”
