Nothing collaborates with Polygon to reveal its first NFT called Community Dots, which will be airdropped starting July 7.
Nothing announced Nothing Community Dots NFT just a few days before its smartphone launch. By collaborating with Polygon, Nothing aims to bring web3 features to the Android infrastructure as well as provide easy access to apps and games available on Polygon's platform.
The Community Dots is a video clip of a black dot rotating inside a transparent cube. The NFT is redeemable to community members and anyone who pre-orders the Nothing Phone (1).
This announcement came less than two weeks after Solana announced its smartphone, Sega, which features a web3 decentralized app store and integrates crypto wallet functions within a mobile phone.
Nothing claims that the NFT will provide potential benefits to owners in the form of exclusive community content and discounts on merchandise. Nothing also states that ten Community Dots owners would receive invites to the Nothing Phone (1) "Return to Instinct" event held in London on July 12.
Starting July 7, the Nothing Black Dots will be airdropped to community investors who pre-ordered the nothing phone (1). Community investors can visit this link and log in with their Nothing account. After connecting their crypto wallet with their Nothing account, the Black Dot NFT will be available on "My NFT" Page after the airdrop on July 7.
Nothing's Discord Community's "Power Users" are also eligible to claim this NFT.
Registrations are open for Nothing community members until August 12, and pre-order registrations for Nothing Phone (1) will begin on July 12 and go on until August 13.
Community members who have already pre-ordered the Nothing Phone (1) only need to register once and receive two airdrops of Nothing's NFTs separately.
Furthermore, Nothing plans to open sales for the public on the Opensea marketplace after August 7.
