With more than 60 brands, artists, and designers, it is already a milestone event in the global fashion industry. Both luxury fashion and digital-native brands are showcasing highly anticipated wearable collections and digital spaces. Keep reading as we walk you through the biggest events of Decentraland Metaverse Fashion Week.

Decentraland Metaverse Fashion Week: Areas of Interest

Notably, the Metaverse Fashion Week comes after four huge real-life catwalks of 2022 in New York, Milan, London, and Paris. During the event, the team has opened several community-run neighbourhoods in the Fashion District to the public. In every new area, brands and designers feature their panels, galleries, catwalks and more. Luckily, everyone can join the event for free, so let's explore some of the must-see locations.

1. Luxury Fashion District

If you're looking for a premium digital fashion experience, the Luxury Fashion District is for you. Found in the current Fashion District owned by Metaverse Group, it hosts some top virtual and real-world fashion brands. Some of the most iconic brands are going to make their Web3 debut. The list includes Dolce&Gabbana, DUNDAS, Nicholas Kirkwood, Etro, Imitation of Christ, and Elie Saab.

Also, Dolce&Gabbana will be releasing a collection of 20 metaverse wearable looks. Available in a pop-up venue in The Luxury Fashion District, the assets are created exclusively for Decentraland Fashion Week. In addition, metaverse-themed watchmaker Frank Muller will also be present. Mueller is renowned for making the world's first Bitcoin watch, so the innovation is worth checking out.

2. Rarible Street

NFT marketplace Rarible has hosted a temporary space in the Decentraland Fashion Week, the Rarible Fresh Drip Zone. Inspired by the streets of New York, the space gives off fresh urban vibes. Also, the area is populated with many digital pop-up stores from top global brands. For example, you can check out Placebo Digital Fashion House, The Fabricant, Puma in collaboration with Artisant, Perry Ellis America, Girls Gang Label, etc.

In addition, you can also find the digital Swiss watchmaker Vault in Rarible Street. Featuring many exquisite details in the design, the brand's debut watch NFT was very well received last year.

3. CashLabs

Web3 company CashLabs has joined Decentraland Fashion Week to launch a mixed-media art gallery featuring over 20 top digital and physical artists. The space features works by Antoni Tudisco, Krista Kim x The Fabricant, Karl Lagerfeld x The Dematerialized, Jason Ebeyer, Auroboros, etc. Representing the artists in an exhibition titled "at the intersection of Art and Fashion," the three-floored gallery is full of images, videos, and fashion sculptures.

Surprisingly, the rooftop of this venue has something more in store. The Nick Knight and SHOWstudio duo are hosting a Fashion Film Festival, showcasing five films each day of the festival. The four-day film extravaganza is set to take you through the fashion industry's past, present, and future.

4. Flagship Stores

Continuing the trend of buying metaverse real estates, several global brands are debuting their flagship stores during the Metaverse Fashion Week. Showcasing their commitment to the new fashion era, the following brands are now permanent residents of Decentraland.

  • Forever 21

Forever21 has come up with their exclusive Wearables collection, created just for the metaverse. The Metaverse Fashion Week marks the launch of the brand's unique space inside Decentraland, and we can expect more events to come.

  • Philipp Plein

The company is debuting its Philipp Plaza, a 65-parcel district where you can visit the Museum of NFT Arts (M.O.N.A). The company is also planning to drop its first-ever NFT collection in the metaverse, collaborating with the 3D artist Antoni Tudisco.

  • Estee Lauder

It will be the exclusive beauty brand of Decentraland Metaverse Fashion Week, offering 10,000 NFTs to the attendees.

Live Performances and Special Guests

Lastly, we can't forget to mention everyone's special kind of event in Decentraland, parties. Everyday afterparties will be happening across the Decentraland after the catwalks and panels. You can expect to see some big names like Bob Sinclair, Nicki Nicole, DJ ICYKOF, and Blond:ish. Surprisingly, you might also spot Sophia the Robot during the event. Developed by Hanson Robotics, the humanoid robot has been a great hit thanks to her incredible AI. In fact, anybody who takes a selfie with her stands a chance of winning an Authority Labs NFT.

In short, the Decentraland Metaverse Fashion Week is all about celebrating fashion, entertainment, and the metaverse. Stay tuned with NiftyHype as we bring you more news about the event and other hot topics in the NFT space.
