Candy Digital has announced an NFT partnership with MLB that will provide digital candy for fans

MLB and Candy Digital have announced a new partnership that will see the two companies expand their NFT relationship in 2022.

Candy Digital is a provider of NFT-based digital collectibles, and the partnership will see the company create new MLB-themed collectibles that can be bought, sold, or traded on its platform.

This is not the first time that MLB has partnered with a company in the digital collectibles space. In 2019, the league partnered with Lucid Sight to create crypto baseball cards that could be purchased using Ethereum’s blockchain.

The new partnership with Candy Digital is part of MLB’s larger push to embrace blockchain technology. Last year, the league launched an initiative called “Baseball Cards on Blockchain” that allows fans to purchase NFT versions of baseball cards using Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Litecoin.

MLB is also one of the founding members of the Sports Bettors’ Coalition, a group of professional sports leagues and betting operators that are working together to advocate for the legalization of sports betting in the United States.

NFT technology has the potential to revolutionize the way that professional sports leagues interact with their fans. The ability to create and trade digital collectibles is just one example of how this technology can be used to enhance the fan experience.

With its new partnership with Candy Digital, MLB is once again showing its commitment to embracing innovative technologies that can improve the way its fans interact with the game.
